Jammed Quadrant lever

Hi
1964 Super Dexta, quadrant lever is stuck at bottom of quadrant, if pulled up slightly hydraulics lift, even with topping deck on, but no control and lever is still stuck at bottom of quadrant. Once upward pressure is taken off lever it, the hydraulics returns to their lowest point.
Is there an easy fix or is it taking apart!!
🙏

I think you probably will need to take the top cover off, but first try loosening the nut holding the lever on, you should be able to move the lever exerting 5 lbs on the knob and it should lift only when about 1" from the top stop (in qualitrol). Looks like you posted a pic but can't see it. If your lever is not original all sorts of odd things can happen. Try moving the selector lever, as the two positions change the working considerably.

Thanks I have a feeling it could be a big job!! Will try loosening off nut as suggested but, if not working will have to start her up which means changing the Solenoid and sorting out that first again!☚ī¸
