i had noticed a thinning of sump oil.
i have removed rocker cover and found a small diesel leak around number 3 injector, i will change all copper washers on return pipe,( appears to have no cracks), is this all there is to do, and how can i check if there are no more leaks?
thanks brett
ps engine is a 380cid as far as i know.
pps does anyone have tappet clearence values for this engine and can i do them cold whilst rocker cover is off?

Check around the soldered joints where the brass banjo's fit onto the steel pipes.

Valve clearances are .015" inlet and .012" exhaust. Yes they can be done cold.

You can blow compressed air backwards through the returnpipe and look for bubbles.

i have mended the leak i hope, checked tappets they all seemed fine, good job as i could not work out how you adjust them, they only have a hollow bolt no nut and screw head,
the hollow bolt is locked in postion but i could not see how.
