Ford 5000 generater pulley

Post by Kiwi Kev »

Hi all
Anybody with a Ford 5000 6x, with the generator with the tacho drive, can you please measure the OD size of the pulley.
Just want to check what size pulley she should have, now that I have just about got my tacho going. Only waiting on the cable to arrive.

Kev, I would expect that they would be no different on the 2-5000, X or Y, measured both generator pullys on the 3000Y and 4000Y, both have the number 54214804 cast on them and 91.5 mm. :scratchhead: TSG.

Dam :curse:

When I took the generator off the engine, I wasn't as careful with it as I should have been, and dropped it. I broke the pulley.
I was going to use an alternater, so wasn't concerned.
I have since been able to get my tacho/hourmeter working, so now want the generator to drive the tacho. The only other pulley with the same shaft size and keyway etc is 120mm. I know it wont make that much difference, but I will still look out for the correct one.
