year & parts

Post by wayne48 »

I have a Fordson major tractor which I use to put a boat in and out of the water.
The engine has a oil leak on the oil filter side of the engine just where it looks like a hydraulic pump sits.
There is a shaft that protrudes through the end of the pump which is where the oil is leaking.
Not sure if there is any pressure there or the seal has worn.

The only numbers I can find are as follows:
4/10/5
608258
Both of these numbers are stamped on the fuel pump side of the block.
There is a number cast into the Select O matic box that has C5NN-7006-K

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

You should post this in the "Fordson New Major" thread if your tractor is a Major Diesel, Power, or Super model. Dandy Dave!

Hi Wayne
That tractor is not an E27N the casting code C5NN are from about 1965 on wards if my thinking is correct, so this makes your tractor a 000 series so you might get a better response posting this in the Ford World series forum  .

Yes. Super6945 is right, The selectomatic was a Ford only Transmission as far as I know. I've never seen one on a Super Major or earlier Fordson. Dandy Dave!
