Hallo,
over here in Germany you hardly find model 8000 or 9000 Ford tractors.
Now I found an offer of a model 8000 4 wd  I didn´t even know they were existing.
How many 4 wd of that type Ford was build in the late 60th or early 70 th?

I have no idea how many, but I love the look of these tractors.
Don't forget the pictures!

County made equal wheeled versions of both the 8600 and the 9600 but not many 8000 made it across to this side of the pond. We had one for evaluation in the late 1960's but Ford, in its wisdom, decided not to bring them across as the European market was not ready for them. I have seen a couple in Holland and one had small driven front wheels like a Roadless.

No Tom, the 8100/8200 were based on the 7000 back end with a 6 cylinder motor. These are an American designed tractor with lower link sensing and gear levers up next to the steering wheel. Will see if I can find some pictures. The engine was designed as two 4000 engines on a single crankshaft and was one of the best engines Ford produced.

Hi guys,

Over here in Holland there are some 9600 4wd (with 'small' wheels). There an 8600 here and there, but I haven't seen many 8000/9000 4wd over here.

Looks like this tractor is for sale at an import-export company in Deurne (Southern part of the Netherlands)?

I have seen Pictures of the County Versions.
But the small frontwheel Versions are not Roadless? Or are they?

Hi Matthias,

You're welcome!

I don't think the 4wd front axle is from Roadless. I have a picture of suc a front axle, but there's no name on the front side. Perhaps Selene?
On the Ford 8700 and 9700 Ford had German ZF 4wd front axles.

Are you planning to buy the 8600?
