Super major levelling box

Hi , have a 1961 Supermajor with a Levelling box problem.
The handle is broken off where it enters the levelling box. None of the parts suppliers seem to hold this part. Guess this explains why so many Supermajors have the earlier Major linkage.
Anybody know a source for this part? If anybody has access to the New Holland online parts catalogue, the part number from Fordson days is E1ADDN-995157 described as lever (HPL levelling box) 11/60 onwards.
A man in Dorset sells reproduction levelling boxes for £120 + VAT + carriage, but this is out of my budget.May end up having to make one, it only a bit of bent half inch bar with a hole at one end and a handle at the other.

Supermajor61,

Can you remove the gear?
If so, maybe someone can make a new axle on a lathe and make also a new handle as you suggest.
