Hi! new to this forum. today I went to an estate sale and found a wonderful old heavy duty metal hinged box marked 'fordson' on the top. has 2 holes in the back where it looked like it was attached. after googling what it may have belonged on/to. I came upon this site! my guess is it is a small attachable tool box? is there any collectability for one of these? it's a neat old box! the house it came out of is well over 100 years old and had all kinds of different things. any help greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum Dani.
Does it look like this one?
The ones for the the New Majors didn't have Fordson embossed on the lid, so it's for an older tractor. I don't know what it's worth, but maybe someone else here does.

hi! Mine looks a bit different. it has a slightly convex lid, and the lettering is small. The one I have looks older by construction if that makes sense.(more of a deco era) I will try to get a picture.
thanks for the help! appreciated! maybe we can figure a time line?
