Hydraulic pump

Post by Gman »

Hello to all. There is a guy I know that has a hydraulic pump that he states came out of a mid '50s Major. I have the one I cracked on the shop floor and they do look the same and has the same measurements except mine has the Fordson logo EnFo on it and one additional line of numbers on the flange, mine has a has four rows of numbers, his has three but the first three on both match. Oh yea mine is out of a '59 Power Major. Does all original pumps have the EnFo logo on them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello to all. I purchased the hydraulic pump for $85.00 US and it appears to be good. I poured oil into it and it pumped it back out so hoping I got a good one, know it was not under pressure so until it is ever used I will not know for sure.
My question is about storing the pump. Should I wrap in plastic and put in box or just put in box with fluid holes plugged? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
