err don't know, I will request some better pictures, with the vegetation removed. I don't know which model it is, I don't know if is possible to determine that from the pics so far? Where would any numbers be? I think the wheels are about somewhere.

Nah just leg pulling Ian, I don't think Brian saw these out new :eyes: although there was a rumour that he was at least 115 years old based on someone at Wrights adding up all his timesheets :run:

It will be a challenge for someone if a rare one ors parts if not I guess.
Best regards

Hi Ian If there is a prize for spotting the Major ,You might have it a while  . That tractor looks to me like it's a Fordson N the one before the E27N Major. I can't really see enough color on it to be sure from the picture, but it could be a green war time one  .

Looking at the rad sides, that looks like an Irish N, pre-1933. No Fordson script down the side.

Unless the rad has been swapped.... can't see a water washer in the pictures. The governor has me skeptical as well. Did the Irish N's even have a governor?

More pictures would be good.

Cheers - SR

Thanks for all of the info and interest. I've been out of circulation for a few days (bereavement to deal with). Anyway I will request better pictures, it would help if the owner removed tree all together and gathered the bits and pieces!

fordsonf25 - I don't want to under sell on his behalf but basically he needs to get rid of it, scrap value plus not much?
I am in the middle here so will forward this thread to him if can, I don't want to give him my log on details, can I copy and paste the thread? if not I'll just paste the texts into an email.
I will ask the owner for permission to fwd his email and/or phone number to you.

Regards

Ian
