Fordson major narrow front end
Recently acquired a narrow front ent for a major and was wondering if the upper housing should be filled with oil to lubricate the two gears in there or maybe use a heavy grease. There is no level plug for this housing but there is a 1/4 pipe plug on the vertical housing and it was filled up to this plug with oil.

nice find. Is it the 2 wheel or the 1 wheel version? There are some drawings on the CNH parts catalog for the 2 wheeled version. It's possible you need to fill it up with oil. On the standard steering box, there's no level plug either.Let us see some pictures!
