I am looking for a magazine published in 2010, I believe, by Peter D. Simpson entitled Fordson Major 1945 - 1964. The words “Tractor Data” appear in the top left hand corner. ISBN numbers are 13 : 9781906167486 or 10 : 1906167486. Published by Mortons Media Group Ltd. I think you would call this a Bookazine.
I am doing some maintenance work on a 1963 Fordson Super Major and wondered when the latest Repair Manual was published as I have only seen 1950’s publications. Also interested in Service Bulletins for this era. Does anyone have any such material?
Please email les.lock@ yahoo.co.uk if required.
Wanted - Fordson Major publications
Re: Wanted - Fordson Major publications
The repair manual was linked to on the old forum (https://www.fordsontractorpages.nl/ubb/ ... 01080.html). Not sure everything is there but it's quite enough for most things. Service letters are rare, I'm also on the lookout for them as they cover lots of things that were missed in the manual. On the old site and on the FFCN you'll find instruction books and parts books. I'm not aware of the magazine, but there might be one on ebay or an auction.

Hello Miles. I do have the publication you refer to and a number of other Fordson related books but what I really want is original information that was current at the time, user manuals, repair manuals, service bulletins, etc. I recently spoke to a person who even had the training material her father was given during his tractor maintenance training.
By the way, I have recently bought a book by David Harris entitled ‘Oily Hands and the Smell of Diesel’, Tales of a Ford Dealer Engineer in the 1960’s. It is a very enjoyable and informative read.

This sounds good. The Boreham House courses were one of Brian's common stories, and I thoroughly recommend you read them as there are some amazing surprises there.
