Woodprocessors

Post by Bensdexta »

Is anyone got a small woodprocessor?
Eg a Hakke Pilke Eagle:
Image
It runs off the PTO 10hp requirement, has a 700mm circular saw blade which can cut 10" dia logs. It has a 4" screw splitter, but no conveyor between the two, ie it's manual transfer. Cost appears to be £1200, not hugely greater than a Ferguson cordsaw + splitter.

Any advice appreciated

I hv a JAPA 600. Max dia 300 mm, splitting in 2, 4 or 6 pieces with 3,2 m conveyor.

Without conveyor much slower and with it you can load directly on trailer. I consider it as highly recommendable.

Hi,
Do you run it behind your Major? Have you a pic?
How many tonnes of wood do you process each year?
Thanks,
