major jacks

There's been a topic about a garage jack that was sold on Ebay but could not find it anymore, so I start a new one.

I have a few pictures.
First two are a ford garage jack. Is this one for tractors or a T Ford jack?

The last pictures has three different tractor jacks.
The bleu one is for a E27N and has a round hole for a round pipe.
The middle one is a New Major jack
The green one together with the two in front are from a F and/or N Fordson and have another hole for the pipe.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I would say that the first jack is for the Model T Ford and was made in that era. It also may work with a Model A Ford. I have seen hunderds of the screw jacks and it seems no two are 100% alike as every car/ truck/ tractor manufactuer had it's own. Dandy Dave!

Henk,

I have never seen the Garage Jack before, but the Manufacturers name ErnLake was one of the three Jack manufacturers for the Fordson E27N/E1A. The other two were Metalfacture and Suffolk Foundry.

The five Jacks in your photo were all used with the E27N and E1A only, why one is painted green I don't know. The Jacks that you quote as Model F/N are probably to tall to be used on those tractors. There was a Jack supplied for the Model N from about 1931, but I have never seen one.

Henk,

If you go into PARTS SWAP section, and look under 'Tractor Crick', you will see a photo of the Fordson Jacks which I posted some time ago.

Just had a phone call from Brian, he arrives in our location tomorrow, so it will be serious Fordson talk from now on!!

Barry,

I have been searching for that topic but could not find it.
The different between de blue and green one is the hole. Together with the red one from you we now have four different models.

Have fun tomorrow and give my regards to Brian and Ann.
