toplink
Re: toplink
Not a Ford Major type that I have seen before. Guess not Major because:
Centre part is too long. Not seen a centre part with a flat side and not seen a link end with a hole in (Pic 3)Unless it came from a Dexta or newer models -I know nothing about them at all!

Re: Dexta Top Link
This is my dexta top link:

It's been on the tractor for at least 38years, so think it's prob original.
However it's well worn now, so won't be using it - replaced with a Vapormatic one.

Re: toplink
Ithought the original toplinks had a nock nut rather than the oval locking plate which normally seems to be on the aftermarket toplinks

Re: toplink
Someone gave it for free and he thought it was a Fordson because it was bleu. Strange that there is no support to turn the link. Only two flat sides for a wrench.
I have another one just like yours Ben, only cat II and one end is a bit longer. That end is worn badly and the other end is good. I'm missing the nut. Wondering what kind of threath it is. UNC or BSW.

Ford 4000/5000 top link. The holes and flat areas were for a locking clamp to stop it turning, it did not usually have a locking nut.
