Now the weather is cheering up, i'm getting more back into the idea of getting Lily the tractor going and working (called her Lily after my stepdaughter, because I have a feeling she is going to cost a fortune!)
Anyway, I was offered this plough today for €450 and just wanted a second opinion of it. The guy thought it was a Ransomes Robin, but was not sure. It looks to be in decent condtion, but then again I have no idea what i'm looking at!
Can anyone ID it and give an opinion as to the asking price?
Thanks

Ransomes EP not a Robin made by Ford at the Lemington Spar plough works.
Would be a good plough for your Power Major as it was designed for the New Major and was replaced by the Ransomes built TS59.
Make sure all the skimmers and discs are there and it looks like it has EPIC bodies. £450 is not a bad price, one sold for £1500 quite recently.

Bought it!
I must be supremely confident about getting Lilys clutch fixed. Picking it up in a few days.
On a sidenote, Lily (the daughter, not the tractor) got married last Friday. So proud! All the best to her and new hubby Steve.

Nice plough. Even the points and moleboards, other cutting edges look good.
Congrats to the newly weds. May their fields be ploughed with a Fordson Major. Dandy Dave!

Re: Plough for the Power Major
Congratulations.
If your son in law is taken just the same care to your daughter as the previous owner of the plough, she will have a good husband.
