High Brian & Barry
Thank you for your concern.
Still around, My dialup ISP has been a big problem. They discontinued my free local no#. Temporarily they gave me a limited use 800 no#. There is no other service here that would be better. NO DSL at all, short of a satellite service for a $100 per month. WOW thats a chunk of dough for Inet!
My diabetes has flared up and seems that I may have to go on Insulin shots soon. My eyesite is failing too. Getting old, is just plain the pits. ;((
The old SMD is still making it but my Dexta started throwing oil, out the breather. Only thing I can seem to think it may be a blown head gasket. Only has about 500 hrs or so from a complete OH. Was going to build another SMD but that is on hold now.
Thanks Tom
Still Here! Still Alive! But Tmac
Great to know your as OK as possible Tom and being a fellow sufferer I sympathise.
I have to have laser treatment every three months now to stop leaks in the eyes. Wish they could give me a dose of rad-weld!
They are getting a bit tee'd of with me too as the pills keep reacting badly with me.
For nearly five years I have been getting steadily less mobile. I could just about manage to get on the tractors but in the afternoons any form of a step was impossible. When we had a meet in April this year, when we left the restaurant with Henk and Janneke, I could not make the steps down to the lower street. I ran out of one pill just before our last trip to Winterwijk and was unable to get them for a few days, whilst I was waiting suddenly my legs came back! I stopped taking them all together and was able to climb stairs in the boat, with cases, and run up 12 flights when I left the car keys in the cabin on the way home.
So sometimes the pills make things worse. Take care.

Hello Brian and Tom
Terribly sorry to hear of your health problems, do look after your selves we need you. Yes Brian you are right, sometimes you do wonder about those very strong drugs that people have to swallow each and every day to keep them going.
Take care we love you and God bless you both.
Kind regards
Mervyn

Well said, Mervyn. Good to see you back with us once again, Tmac! As for medication, any form of medication that has to be taken over long periods of time is having to choose between two evils. The trick is to choose the lesser evil and that is far from easy, not knowing how the body will react.
Hang in there, guys.
Still here, Still alive, but Tmac
Hi Tom,
I had started to wonder over the last few weeks where you had got to, as you are a regular contributor. Sorry to hear about your health problems, but it seems to be the case with our age group. I take enough tablets daily to make me rattle as I walk.
Good to have you back.
