What has happened to your avatar, it has been replaced by a red cross on your posts?

For some reason, it depends on the kind of browser you use. When I use IE, I also see a red x. With Mozilla, I see the avatar. It's really weird and quite annoying. I'm on the look-out for a solution.

Oscar,
If it helps... Avatar OK on Firefox but just a (?) on Safari. Other examples, yours and Henk's are (?) but Frans and Pascals are OK.
