Back from holiday, 2 weeks of 'peace and quiet' before the madness starts again on Monday.
Kath and I managed to go to the Isle of Wight Steam open day.
Great weather and an enjoyable day out.
We were told that every year, as part of the show, they make a new footpath in the field they use for parking.
Sure enough, as we arrived there one Major had scraped out the trench ready. The other was constantly crushing stone for the first to lay in the new trench.

Opposite them was a County, serving a couple of steam engines driving saw mills.
Finally, specially for Oscar.
Army engine, built in 1953, called the Royal Engineer and she gave us a wonderful ride.
