Hiya Stevo,

An avatar image's width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB. If you've taken care of that, then it should work fine, so I'm a bit puzzled.

:scratchhead:

Are you sure your avatar complied with the sizing restrictions?

Regards,
Oscar

Below is the post Mike did back on April 16 2008, about avatar pictures. Hope you don't mind me putting it here Mike.
Follow this and you won't go wrong.
I thought it was worth posting it again.

OK, before anyone asks - the picture of me ...

1) Get a small Jpeg picture of yourself (in my case a caricature)
2) Go to www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/
3) Follow the three simple steps to load your picture and shrink its size to 80 pixels square.
4) Choose which of the 3 versions they offer that you like (less than 6Kb size)
5) Store it in a seperate new folder on your hard drive (eg. c:\avatar for oscars)
6) Log in to change your profile on this BBS
7) Scroll to the very bottom and select 'load from this computer'

Hey presto ! you now have an idea what I look like.

Thanks again to Oscar, Kev and Mike (even if he doesn't know it). Not the most flattering photo granted but at least I know how to do it now. Great site for creating Avatar. I notice they also host pictures, I'll give a picture post ago next. Don't expect much as I've tried to do this many times in the past and failed miserably.

Stevo
