Thanks for the pictures, Chris. I enjoy seeing pictures of British crawlers. They're similar to, but different from the ones we have here.

Nice pictures Chris,

The Marshall looks very pretty
Also the Bristol is a nice small crawler. Don't know why but I love those small ones. Just like the Ransomes and the first JD crawler model. Easy to take to an event and nice to play with.

The Bristol, like the Ransomes MG series all ran on Roadless designed tracks. If you compare the Fowler, Bristol and "N" tracks you will see that the Fowler track is flat to saqgging down acros the top where the others have a "humped back" look.

Roadless track segments had a thick rubber block between them and were joined by large bolts. You had to have a special tool kit to split the track because it was like a spring. It was one heck of a job to put together and take apart. I had quite a few struggles with them.

I once saw a man split the track without the proper tools. It impressed it self in my memory as well as the workshop floor, workbench and wall. :oops:
