I am going to get a Sentinel Steam lorry! Ann can be stoker! At around 20 mph and on solid tyres should be a good trip down to Winterwijk. :D

Coal is about £8.00 a sack of 25kg. I can pick up some good Welsh Steam coal when I go to see MarkP. All my relations on my mothers side were all miners so I have a little "ancestral knowledge". They were all small people though, my mother was only about 5' and she was one of the tallest. My Uncle George worked "down pit" from a lad of 14 to 65. His body was a mass of black scars. He also used to breed ferrets.

Brian,

That's going to take you about three weeks out and back home. But with a caravan behind it you would have a lovely holyday. :P
But I think Ann would not be so happy and would build up big arms. :x

Brian,
no matter how long it will take to get to Winterswijk, just do it.
Only avoid using the highways ! :!:
Do they fulfill the EU Norm4 emissions ?

They have iron wheels with a band of rubber on them and lots of play in the steering. I think the smoking ban throughout Europe might be a problem.

On the other hand Fred Dibnah drove his engine around England and even to Buckingham Palace to collect his MBE (or OBE, i can't remember which).
