Spraying with 1K pack paints

Hi,

I'm going to be spraying my tractor using the 1K pack paints you get from the tractor parts suppliers. I've got the Spencers paintswhich I think are from agriline.

A friend of a friend is spraying the panels for me and i'm doing the main body. The friend of a friend is a car sprayer for a larger ford dealership near us but he has never used 1K pack paints before and some one who he works with has adviced him that this type of paint should be applied in one coat. Many people on here refer to doing 2 or 3 coats.

Any advice gratfully received. I intend to do a layer of red oxide on the main body then a zinc primer before 2 or 3 coats of blue. Should this be ok. And i'll thin the paint 10% with thinners.
