Had a two day headache

Customer rang up on Friday to ask me to change a joystick control on a Matbro Terex machine. What he did not tell me is another dealer had fitted a completely different system, re working the loom and not giving any indication of wire functions or colour codes. Also the joy stick to be fitted had different functions and wire colours.

We tried to get help from the dealer who carried out the work but the engineer had left their employ. All they could tell us was he sat in the cab with a handful of wire for two days, sticking wires in here and there to find out what worked when he pulled the levers.

I was fitting an electronic, proportional control stick so that option might have been expensive.

Eventually, after many hours with an icepack on my head, and coughing with the smell of burning wire from my test rig (What silly man wires the power in line to an earth plug and coloured wire)? I got it sorted this afternoon.

A good sized bucket,

And a 6m (18') vertical reach.

Ideal for snow clearing and putting it over the neighbors fence!

And all the attachments are changed from the cab. The latches are hydraulically engaged and this was one of the systems I had to get working.

As always great job Brian. I enjoy seeing the pictures from your side of the world. I like seeing the surrounding landscape and buildings. You have some great ones on wiki.
Thanks for all your help in the past, I'll be asking for more I'm sure.
