A friend of mine has a Case (I know. Sorry. ) tractor with a Lucas alternator on it. He needs a new pulley for it and we can't seem to find one around here. It has a 15mm keyed shaft, a single 13mm belt, and is 89mm outside diameter. Does anyone know where I could find one?

A good machine shop can make a new pulley or you give me the Lucas code and I try to help you.

Thanks Stefan. I think that he has the Lucas part number for the pulley. I'll get it from him and post it here. He wouldn't even need a good machinist to fix his problem. Even a wanna-be machinist, like me, could find a pulley that had the right belt width and O.D., and bore the center hole and cut a new keyway, but he wants to find the correct one if he can.

I mean the Lucas code written on the alternator housing .....

That pulley sounds like the pulley they fitted to the alternator on the mid 70s Triumph 2000 and 2500 sedans. Probably rarer than rocking horse poo over your way. If you have any british car breakers over your way give them a try.

Now his brother is trying to convince him to put a Delco on it, since parts are easier to get over here. I still think he should use the Lucas, since its brand new and it fits the mounting bracket on the engine. We'll see what happens. Thanks for the help so far.

you're right. The Children will take the habbits from the parents, not vice versa. But I always see that they only take the bad habbits.

Yes, the boat and hotels are already booked. Things will be a bit tight financially as we have a new "baby" but what the heck, its only money.

We are going to go to Northern Holland for the first part of the week, working our way down to Winterswijk for the Friday and leave on the Monday getting back to the boat on Monday night. Its later in the month this year.

Pat won't be able to make it, both her daughters presented her with grandchildren earlier in the year They were both girls. they are due to be christened on the weekend of the show.

We might not make it next year either. Dietmar has suggested we go to Austria and see that 24 hour race his wife is driving in. Could be a Fordson Pages weekend away to cheer her on

If we go there we would have to stay nearly a month to fit in Winterswijk but who knows .....

What dates are Winterswijk ?
