Nice pictures, Brian. Is it still snowing, or is it melting now?

I've got more tractors than I have shed space, too. I hope to remedy that soon, but I'm getting tired of bending nails.

They are not pumpkins, they are squashes, Uchiki Kuri, Turks Turbans and Queensland Blues. All edible and very nice.

And yes, it is still snowing!

The tractors should be undercover but their cover is over the roof of a shed that lost its roof in the gales we had a few days ago!

This is our local Radio Web Site. There is an article on a famous Norfolkman who died yesterday. Might be of intrest to JC and Dave as yesterday was Thanksgiving Day. Also pictures of the snow around our local area.

That's quite a coincidence that a man who made his fortune raising turkeys died on Turkey Day.
I ate lots of turkey yesterday, ate creamed turkey on mashed potatoes today, and now I'm eating chicken.
Just in a "fowl" mood, I guess

This is the third time this winter that I remove the snow from the roof of garage . It was then a big pile of snow for the Roadless but not too much.

Woke up to about 5 inches this morning. My Buick Snowmaster Super Shovel is standing by.

The Buick Snow Master. Shovel Snow from the warm comfort of the Summer Heater heated cab. Sink yourself into the thick foam padded seat and feel the smooth power as you glide though the drifts with ease. Lifting snow is a breeze as it is all done with one EZ control Lever. Feel the smoothness of the Transmission as you go from forward to reverse with two simple to operate pedels on the floor. Throttle up is automatic as you push down on the pedel of direction your desire. Also, the Snow Master has the greatest economy offered as any in it's class. It will move snow all day on about 5 gallons of Diesel Fuel. Included, as a No Heart Attack feature, it comes with a rear shovel and retreiver as standard equipment should you slide off of a bank and cannot gain traction with the wheels. Just reach out and pull it back into action all from the comfort of the Cab. So, throw out that old plastic shovel and get some real class in snow removal. The Snow Master is waiting for you. We'll even throw in a Red Rider BB Gun for the menacing neigborhood dogs that come around to devour you Holiday Bird. Ralphie not included. 8)

Your description should get you a job in advertising no worries.
I take it that a "summer heater" must be a brand of fireplace, judging by the chimney on top of the cab :D
Snow is one thing I'll never have to worry about here.

Kev,
When I looked at the index for this forum, I saw that yours was the last post in the "We Have Snow" topic. You had me worried for a minute. If you had snow, I would have to start believing that "climate change" stuff

Very clever Dandy Dave, As for snow on Norfork Island, then I would also believe in climate change too.( Which is better for skiing , Mount Pitt or Mount Bates???) :eyes: Maybe I should invest in a snow plough and/or blower for on the farm!!! :run: TSG.

Hi JC,

We have had snow too! Try summer snow on the Victorian alps and some of the NSW high country. (Not that unusual realy.) With all the floods and other stuff that is going on around here I am not sure about climate change, but cimate crazy sounds about right.

Regards, Frank.

Hi Frank
That reminds me of a road trip that a friend and I took when we were younger. It was winter, and we were both laid off from our logging jobs, due to the weather. His sister, who was living in Santa Barbara, needed to have a car repossessed from a guy that she sold it to that didn't pay her. We said that we would do it for her. After we kindly  asked the guy to give her car back, we decided to spend some time in Southern California, since neither one of us had been there before. We didn't get back home for almost a month. Anyway, to make a long story short, we ended up in Palm Springs, which is known for its year round warm weather. Someone told us that we should ride the aerial tramway while we were there. We boarded the tram in 75 F weather. 10 min. later, we were at 8500 ft., near freezing, in several feet of snow!

Hey Kiwi Kev. The pipe is attached to the house and a wood stove, but maybe you have a good idea there if the heater core ever goes bad. :D Dandy Dave!
