Hi All,
Just testing something.
Can you all see the following picture?
It may take a few moments to load and you may need to set Internet Explorer to show FTP

Mike

Hi,
Once again. My connection is very slow today, but on my third viewing I can see the top of the picture only. It finishes just below the cutter head, so the whole photo has not been downloaded.

G'day Mike,
I can see it without problem in both FF and Explorer without problem.
I'm curious as to what you're testing? A different method of posting or hosting? Is it located on your own server or your ISP's free space?
regards,
Rick

I have FF and I can't see it at all.
You are right about it taking a long time to see, when I got done typing this post, and went back to the board it was there.
Very slow Mike.

What is that contraption Mike?
It looks like something we could use to cut Brian's whiskers with, are you very good with this thing Mike? Brian you will have to hold real still for this shave and a hair cut. What do you think?

I meant my computer, not your picture.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the feedback.
I will leave the picture 'as is' for now, whilst I continue testing.
To answer your questions.
Tractor: of course, my 'old girl'.
Implement: McConnell 'Swing Over' hedger, finger bar type. For scale, the 'finger bar' cutting head is approximately 7 feet length.
The test: Trying something out for future reference. The picture is hosted from my home PC on which I have set up an FTP server.
Trying to test (1) Access because of port forwarding restrictions through a SKY router. (2) Speed of display, because whilst I have 8Meg download speed - how quick I can get something - I only have three quarters of a Meg Upload speed - how quick I can send something to you.
Next stage is to see if I can get Sky to increase my Upload speed but this may take a while. It has taken 18 months -
YES, 18 damned months to get them to give me the download speed I was paying for, instead of the
quarter Meg they had been providing me with.
Still, onwards and upwards, we battle on.
I would be interested in any information on the sort of 'load time' you each get and what your own broadband Download speeds are. That way I can deduce how much of the delay is due to problems my end. Bear with me guys, there may be a future benefit, for us all, here.
Brian,
Apart from my speed issue, looks like it will work
Regards,
Mike

Mike,
I have 1.5 meg download speed, and the picture came up as soon as the text did. I didn't have to wait for it at all.
