that holden commodore looks an awsome pice of kit , would prefer the ute if it came with the 6.2l supercharged lump up front would be a bit frighting at the petrol pump back here in England.

Pascal, Rabobank came to NZ about 20 years ago, fits in quite well with its core business of agricultural finance.They are quite active in agriculture finance more so than the other banks like the ANZ, BNZ, Westpac and the National Bank.Some of Rabobanks commercials also had a "Dutch" twist to them too. As for putting the 6.2l with a supercharger into a ute,I would like to do that too, would be a great way to go across the US...if only I could afford a new ute and get it into to US or Canada TSG.

Having just spent a number of weeks driving a Holden Commodore Sports SV 6 I am seriously underwhelmed.

Fantastic car to drive on the freeways but bad on normal roads. There was a big gap in the throttle between tick over and 1200 rpm, so when you took off from traffic lights you went with a major kick in the back, bit like a "boy racer". OK if you were on your own or just two but with people in the back it was unpleasant. Same when you were in cruise control, on a hill you would suddenly be kicked in the back as it piled on the revs.

I mentioned it when I took it back as I had a similar problem with Rover until they balanced the throttle pot with the pump pot, but was told that was a characteristic of the Holden car.

I did drive Steven B's Ford Ute though. With the BIG engine. AWESOME!! When you put your foot down hard it was like riding the Space Shuttle.

One of the members of the FTCA imports GM V8 diesels and puts them in Ford Utes. He brought one to the meetings, Now that is a beautiful sounding engine with bags of power and a wonderful exhaust note.
