Log in problems

Post by Tubal Cain »

Is anyone else experiencing problems when trying to log in to this site or is it just me?

Some times it is impossible to log into the site and on other occasions the response is very slow, when compared to other forums which I visit.

Ocassionally a bit slow to log in and sometimes hangs when doing searches etc. Although seems to have been better in the last week or so.

I have been having problems for some time and have been keeping Oscar updated. Seems others do not have the same problems.

I have tried a number of different browsers but the results are all the same. IE seems to be the worst one but Google is not much better.

I have even been blocked from the site for a number of weeks earlier this year.

Today I could get to the main page but not to the message boards.

It's periodical and, I think, just a fact we have to accept.
It will be affected by internet and server traffic in your area.
It will be affected by any 'on demand' anti-virus settings you have.
It is frequently affected by internet 'bots' and search engines, just look how many hidden users are always crawling over the site.
I find my biggest problem, which causes long delays, is when I go to open a post that someone else is either in the process of, or just finished editing.

Hi Mike,

Check the "inactive" for me please, it will not remove one there, for me, although I have tried about 5 times just now.
