Just a bit of fun.
What tractor do you have and what 'name' have you given it if any?

All of mine are E27Ns. My first one is named Marion after her former owner. She was found in a country wrecking yard nearly twenty years after she went missing after being parked under a tree and ignored for too long. Her brother recognised her and the identity was confirmed after I bought her. Not much of the original tractor left now but a damn good working machine. Now has a new Perkins P6 diesel engine and spends most of her time with a back hoe attached.
All the others are in pieces. I have an E27N with a L4 Perkins conversion that somehow is stuck with the name Larry. He was given to me on the proviso that he would not be sent to China or any other place that would mess up the paint work.
The other two have not been named yet. One is the tractor that I learned to drive on when I was only 10 years old. (Found by accident after Marion.) That tractor has been called every name under the sun by me while I was starting her. Youthfull exuberance was my downfall, too much speed on the crank handle was the problem. My father had it down pat, just a few turns to get the fuel in and a gentle flick was all it took for him. The other is a County full track conversion. No name yet. Too new and I have had no time to get to know it.
Mind you it was that f*$!ing B#$@ that got me stuck on these great tractors when I was 10. I can still feel the pain of being out of breath and having no streangth left after starting that tractor. Somehow that just made driving it that much better.
Regards, Frank.

The wife refers to all of them as my "girl friends", probably because the get more attention than she does.
Although I refer to most of them as my girls, none of them have a girl’s name.
the Selene is referred to as the lemon, (I’m assuming every one knows what is meant by referring to a vehicle as a lemon), she was given this name by the wife because when we rescued her from the scrap yard she was painted yellow and was a piece of junk! The wife still tells everyone the only thing that was good on her was the battery, and why she had a good battery in her is beyond me as she had been sitting outside for several years with a tight engine!

Our Super Dexta is called Henry, it was named by the grandchildren of the previous owner and had a pressed numberplate with 'HENRY' painted over when we bought it. The numberplate is now hung above the shed where the tractor lives to avoid confusion when on the road with the new reg number.
I suppose I should have scrubbed the paint of the pressed plate and tried to figure out the original reg number but its too late now, Henry is now 'AOR 655B'.
We still call him Henry, he just doesn't have a name tag anymore. I've been meaning to get some lettering to go down the side of the bonet but it will probably wait until I straighten the panels out... One day...
