Guys
Where has your FordsonTractorPages shirt been to? :scratchhead: No, I dont mean the pub  on saturday night!

My shirt lives on Norfolk Island, but has also been to New Zealand and Fiji.
Has also been spotted doing a full days work with the Major.

If you don't have an FTP shirt, get one http://www.fordsontractorpages.nl/merchandise.htm
If you do have one, how far has it travelled?

Hi guys,

Today I was wearing my blue sweater during the removan on a to tree stump in a village close to Amsterdam.

I had to loosen the tree stump with the little digger, before I could get it out with my SuperMajor.

Why do you think the tractors smoking :D
No serously, you are close. It's a type of tobacco plant, (which is a pest over here). Not the forbidden grass that you were thinking of
Luckily it's a soft wood, so have been known to slash the occassional 10-12 foot high tobacco. See background of photo.

Hi Mervyn,

That's the 4 cylinder engine, that was in my tractor at first.

Hi Henk,
Haha, that's a great name!
I had it in the lift for extra weight on the rear wheels. Some use wheel wheights. Unfortunately I haven't
got them (yet). If anybody has some...please let me know. :D

My shirt made a 3000 mile trip across the Atlantic, that I know of, but who knows where else the postal service may have taken it

My FTP shirt has mostly been lurking in the Brunswick region of Melbourne, but it just recently took a trip to my brother in law's place in Macedon very close to Hanging Rock where we removed a rather tall tree that was threatening his house. 30 Metres of rope was needed to be far enough away for when the tree came down. You can tell I realy hated having to do this job
Image
We were all set with the chain saw to cut it after it was pulled far enough back, but all that was needed was a bit of power and over it went. Very good that it was gone too, as two days later it was blowing a gale and it would have fallen right over the house and ended in pool on the other side.

Regards, Frank.

Yesterday, we enjoyed a skating tour at the mills of Kinderdijk. We've been skating about 40 km. The weather was great. A nice sun and not much wind. The ice was most of the time bad. My friend felt 5 times, my brother and I once. The FTP sweater proofed to be outstanding warm in these conditions. It was too cold to show it.
Some parts you cannot skate. On one part we were transported by a tractor and lorry. The other two parts we have to walk. We call that "kluunen".

For the last three weeks I've been working hard with some other men to lighten our local skating course. It's just in front of my house. We were just ready with the parts and the winter set in. Last Saturday we placed the lights and now the whole town is enjoying the skating in the evening. Even the fire department came to prepare the ice floor.

Great pictures, Henk!!
I think it's realy great you do this kind of work together with other volunteers.

Why did they make the whole in the ice? And what's with the hose in the whole?

Pascal,

The fireman made the hole. The ice was 12 cm. They had 1500 liters in the truck and they pumped the rest out the hole. With four men they spread the water on the ice, filling the cracks. The next morning we had a mirror ice floor.

This evening we removed the lights. In one hour time everything was in the car and the ice was cleaned from dirt.
We had a marvellous week. Many people just came to the ice to meet and talk and  :buddies:

Unfortenely one lady just stood on the ice for about 10 minutes when she feld and broke both her wrists.

Owch. I like summer water the best. It isn't so hard if you fall, or jump in it. Dandy Dave!
