The Symco Thresheree officially started today, I already have more pics than I can post and the tractors are still rolling in.

Pat

A Waterloo Boy, the predecessor to the John Deer.

A nice pair of Cockshutts, the second one having the Gambles brand.

Uncle Vic purchased this Rumely Oil Pull last weekend, the Nickels and Sheppard traction engine belongs to him and the boys as well.
Image

This is Harold Bessette running one of the saw mills with his traction engine.
Image

Symco has one of the nicest setups anywhere for the saw mills, two units and a shingle mill all under one roof and a catwalk so the public can see everything running from up above.

Two steam engines here, Vic and the boys got the one on the left running just a year or two ago, it’s a Vilter unit running a refrigeration pump, the engine on the right with the big belt runs a generator, this one has a tight cylinder but they hope to have it loose yet this summer.
Image

The club has one of, if not the biggest collection of Fairbanks Morris stationary engines, from the single cylinder up to the six cylinder.
Image

Marc and I ran both of the Countys, the Selene, and the 54 over there.
Image

Had to put up with a couple of cloud bursts but no one was complaining, we haven’t had much rain the last month.

YAY!!!! THE FIRST GLIMPSE OF THE SELENE (FORMERLY CALLED THE "LEMON")!!!! To tell you the truth, Iam very envious of all of you because all of you might have a fordson or two, or probably more. Drawing fordsons and looking at pictures of your fordsons makes me envious, but imagining that we do not own one of those but my grandfather owned one once makes me...

Just a thought, are the rear rims really that wide or it was just my eyes fooling me and telling me that my eyesight was failing at such a young age :eyes: ???

Great pics

I am always fascinateted by 100 years old installations or machines, still in working condition.
I just come home from harvesting grain, aircondition on the tractors and combines, automatic transmissions and tons of electronics on each vehicle.....but none of them will be in service 20 years from now :?

I just stumbled across this video tonight. This guy has several videos from this year that you guys should take a peek at, it kinda gives you an idea of just how lucky I am to live just down the road and to have seen this club and show grow for the last forty plus years.
In this video I sort of got the impression that he liked the Selene/Power Major. :D

I got bored looking at the oliver, case and other tractors on the video, so I skipped the videos to the part where your fordsons are shown!
