Finally got my blue baby registered, with her original reg number.

Any preference over whether pressed or painted numbers?
Which is more robust?

Legally I don't think we need a plate on the front, so only one needed, a square one with 3.1/8" letters - save some ££!

I think they're all pressed, but some have the black background stove enamelled.

Hi Ben , if you haven't ordered yet I've used craftyplates.com for about 10 plates now , they were £12.00 for a
single pressed square rear ( black wirh silver letters ) .

Craftyplates seems to have dissolved!
BTW were your number plates stove enamelled?
How are they lasting?

I could only find stick-on number plates amongst all the Vauxhall bits they sell. Co seems to have gone through some metamorphosis since you got your plates?

Hi Ben , sent this to crafty plates ,
Hi, in the past you supplied me with several single square black/silver no. plates for use on vintage tractors ( £12.00 at that time ) can you still supply these ? ( friends are enquiring where mine came from .)
reply,
hi
yes no problem £13 plus £3.50 postage
When I purchased previously I was registered as a no. plate supplier so just gave my details to C.Plates
I don't know if you will need to supply a copy of your reg. doc. to them , if still interested send them
a message about that aspect .
from wiki.
Registered number plate suppliers must keep records including the documents produced by their customers; they can be required to be shown to the police, although in reality this has seldom happened. The Department for Transport holds a full list of suppliers.[58]
Some companies, particularly those based online, sell number plates described as "show plates" or "not for road use", which may not satisfy the requirements of BS-AU145d for a vehicle to display a number plate on a public road. However, if so specified, these products can be identical to number plates sold by approved RNPS registered suppliers, but online customers do not have to demonstrate the right to be issued that number plate - hence supplier's disclaimers on their websites.
