Re: Preview of the East of England Vintage Tractor Show 2014
Seems a great show. Some beautiful tractors and other vehicles
I like the Oliver models like the U900.
Wath are the narrow buildings for in the background of the picture with the crusader.

Re: Preview of the East of England Vintage Tractor Show 2014
Brians pictures don't give an indication of how many people there were about this afternoon but they do indicate that I missed a bay 'cos I didn't see the Marshalls and Opperman cart
Finally found where their stand was located so have now met Ann & Brian in the flesh and had a chat.(and saw no reason for the 'Grumpy' label !!)
Having finally seen the Dancing Does perform, while a great demonstration of driver skill and turning circle, it does nothing to showcase their lugging capability.
Plenty of Blue about, they tried to hide the other coloured stuff away in sheds then left the doors open....................
Managed to return with only Bells history of Ransomes and a trailerpipe coupling for the E1A, despite the range of spare goodies available

A really good event. (Helped by the perfect weather).
A wide range of really good exhibits, displays and stalls. Excellent food and drink facilities and easily accessed, very clean, toilets.
Well set out on an easily accessible site.
Congratulations and thanks to the organisers and exhibitors.

Henk,
That is one of the entrance gates where you pay to get into the Norfolk Show. It was not in use for this one.

Perhaps it's in Army colours? We have a few of them like this in Holland. Originally with petrol engine.

Re: Preview of the East of England Vintage Tractor Show 2014
If you mean the one below the Ploughmaster 75 DD, its in original clothes, cleaned and rubbed down to remove surface rust (but not the 'cooked' oil darkened paint) and looks like it had been oiled with linseed or some other drying oil (not picking up dust & fluff) rather than varnish.
Have to say I'm very tempted to see what mine comes up like given this treatment, it was only a few down the row from Brians steed so he'll doubtless be able to shed more light on it.
I had a look around on the Sunday afternoon, there were a lot of tractors about, the 'True Blues' looked to have the upper hand in sheer numbers but of course I may well be very seriously biased.
