ATF in diesel

Post by Nick »

Hi guys, Ive been told by a few people (brian included) that putting a bit of atf in your diesel tank cleans and lubricates the pump and injectors, but would it do the same on a modern engine?
Oh yay, look, another seized bolt! Lets get a hammer.....and some kano.....and some cider!

ATF and hydraulic oil are roughly the same thing. I use it in all my tractors, petrol and diesel. I also use it in the BMW engine in the Range Rover. ATF comes in handy bottles. :D
