Skating

Hello,
I’ve been doing what every right Dutchman should learn in it’s live. Skating.
Together with my son and a friend we have skated a 25 km run at the windmills of Kinderdijk. This is the place were all the Japanese and American tourist must pay a visit when they make a European tour. It was a beautiful scenery. The misty frost was in the trees, there was no wind, and sometimes a bit of sunshine. We call it a Anton Pieck scenery, because he was a famous painter that painted winter scenery's like this.
When we drove of at home it was minus 9 Celsius. During the day minus 3 C.
There’s also a run from 50 and for the cracks there’s 75 km. There were between 12000 and 15000 people that were doing the run.
The last picture, me sitting on the chair is not a pleasant one. Last week I was skating on the canal next to my house, the one on the first pictures, and I felt right backwards on my but and had. Not much damage as there is not much in my but and my …….? But my belly mussels were very stressed. Just in front of this “Koek and Zoopie” place I hit the ice. It was not a terrible fall but it felt if my belly mussels were ripped out. I manage to get on this chair and fainted two times, because of the stress and pain. My son and friend had to support me from falling of the chair. We still had to do about 4 or 5 km to get beck to the control post and the car. I manage to get back but it was very painful.
Now I’m moving like an old man in it’s late eighty’s, but still skating is a wonderful sport.
