My F-M is considerably smaller with just the one piston (which currently travels N-S) Not a cent was wasted on finess when it was built other than the several pounds of filler used to cover rough castings, minimal fettling but super machining on all working surfaces, as far as I can tell all original parts with bags of wear left.
