Biking in Holland

Post by henk »

Hello all,

Been away a couple of day's. We went cycling together with my brother and his wife.
We slept in a little bungalow and made a tour through a view typical Dutch scenes, like Giethoorn. This is the Venetia of the Dutch north. Also saw the aria were they grow the typical Dutch roof cover.
On queens day I met a couple of tractor old-timers. They have been driving a road run nearby and were on there way back home. There was a 6 cylinder New Major. It was dirty, because the young driver was driving fast and trough muddy grounds.
If you want to see some pictures just look here.

Henk,
I loved your pictures, everything is so neat and clean. Does anyone ever fish in the canals in your pictures? I believe I'd have to have me a Bass boat over in your country.
Regards
Mark
See ya

Mark,

Yes they do a lot of fishing.
At Giethoorn you can hire a boat with an electric motor on de back. There called whispering engines. This is because of the birds in the aria, and it's not nice for the locals to hear all day long the noise of the boats and smell them.
Kind regards, Henk
