I scored a couple of second hand tyres for rear of tractor and put them on this week.also dong some rust repairs on the guards. Try ing to make new panels but I will have to do 2 sides to repair each patch of the strengthening beams on guards as I can't fold the full panel.

Looking very good. Have a look at Billy's mudguard (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8339).

Plates made up for strengthening beams finished. Hopefully repairs done to guards and finished by the end of the week.

Looks good. Billy's mudguard was worse, but I thought you should see it so you can try and get it as good as possible however you try it. You're doing it the easy way, so you should easily get it done quickly. The boxes are point welded to the main plate. Ensure you allow for the earth connection for the side light.

I did repair on the rear guard light mounts today. I had a spare rusted one and cut the piece to fix the other. I stripped and rust repaired one gaurd today also and found moŕe bodgy repairs. Someone has painted over rust so guards now need a lot more work. They are going to take a lot longer than what I thought as i will have to strip inside and out.

What you've done so far looks great, just keep at it, you saw how long it took us to do Billy's mudguard.

Hi guys,
It's been really wet here for the last month but finally put a bit of paint on some of the 60 model Fordson parts.
I ended up taking the rops of the 54 model and am planning of taking the post hole digger off the 54 also and putting on the 60 model. Also scored a cheap jib that I will be putting on. Here's some photo,s. Slowly but surely. I also have had it running and it runs sweet. The diesel filters and lines were leaking everywhere.

Looking good, but not like a Farm Major. You'll need to get the missing badge, the wheatsheaf is the second colour (you seem to have got a very poor repro one, you might find a decent original one in a scrapy, although I would refit the original one). Your top link bracket is upside down.

Thanks Sandy. I wouldn't have picked up on the top link bracket. Just using bits from the 54 model. If I come across another farm major badge I will put them on
