Hello to all
I will reassembling the driveshafts on my super 6,but what is the right position/"timing"/
for the universal joints?
Image
is this the right solution??? or is there another importend for the reassembling??
in the partslist is a drawing that shows 90degres turned u-joinds.
i`m a little confused about the shafts, their splines are very worned out.
Image
whats your opinion/thoughts about this /
and here is the tractor on first testrun ( with replaced engine out of a combine, and without the shafts)

Hi Jan, welcome aboard!
Yes you have it correct, I can only imagine how many people have gotten led the wrong way by looking at the picture in the parts manual.
On the early units there is a #1 stamped on the parts and these all need to line up, later models had a small hole drilled into them, these need to be aligned.
With the shafts positioned so that one plug is TDC and the other is at 90°, fill with 90W gear oil to the side plug level.
The splines do look bad but if she is just a toy you will probably never wear them out

Very nice looking girl you got there!!!
Do you have the bonnet for her as well?
