Clutchpedal spring Selene

Hallo,
these days I am working on my 4 wd, changing the engine and I replaching the clutch bearing. The old one was worn, because the torsion spring was not able to push the bearing all the way back, when not engaded. Should there be an aditional spring on the pedal?
If so, is there a picture availible to see the position.
Thanks ahead.

I'll run up in the barn and take a look next week, its a little chilly lately, been below 0°F most all of the week and they are saying tomorrow is going to be worse.

Don ´t hurry,
I have seen, there are springs on the classic Major as well. So it ´s only the question how to place it.
I hope my bearing will arrive today, so I can put the engine on.

My Selene doesn't have a spring on the clutch pedal ether, and if I remember correctly there really is no place for one. I'm thinking this is the reason for the extra knob cast onto the back of the clutch pedal, to give it enough weight to keep the pedal back in the released position.

Borrowing as it is nearly the same subject. Bearcreek Pat, and other. As i have understood it you have a double clutch on your selene. To me the total movement of the pedal seem to be a bit short, especially with almost half of it as play due to wear. Did you have almost no free play? Was it hard to adjust? How did you do it, any tips and tricks?

Mine was originally a single stage and I converted it to the two stage, this includes changing the linkage arm between the two linkage rods as the center hole is in a different location giving the throw out bearing more movement. If I remember correctly I set it up real close to how the manual states and it has been working fine. I may have eliminated a little of the pedal free play, I believe I only have 3/4"-1". I had also set the fingers on the clutch to the correct specs, real close to 5/8" between the first and second stage.

Regarding return spring for the clutch pedal I have this arrangement on my -61 Super Selene with live drive.
