Hand Clutch

Were any Fordson County Crawlers (Power Major Vintage) fitted with a hand operated clutch.
Looking at certain videos and photos It would appear that some of these machines may have been fitted with a hand clutch. They may have been fitted as an extra.
Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

hi i have a county dvd and it shows and states that it was an option if you look at the standard peddel layout you can see why

just had a quick look and couldnt see it however im pretty shore it was one of stuart gibbards however this old county footage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRe_-6iBu3Q is i belive the same but with a diffrent comentry the clutch is at 3.10 cheers bj

Image Hi just further I forgot I had a parts manual for e1a on i run a e27cft so I had only looked at the track gear so any way it shows a diagram fig 13 and a full parts no list it's a bit of mucking round but given time I might be able to put it on if you like bj

Thanks for your reply. Looks like the hand clutch had to be held in the release position, appears to be a lever and rod set up in place of the foot clutch.

yes from the film you clearly have to hold it the thrust bearing wouldnt stand being out for to long any way i think the peddal may still be there as the link part no 9755 is slotted to allow interaction with something else
