Has anybody out there ever heard of a Perryshire tractor. I am led to believe that they were produced for the American and South African market and that it was based on the Ford 4000. I am looking at one which is supposed to be a 1977 but the 4000 finished in 1975. That's all I know. Is my information correct so far and can anybody help me with more info.

Would it have been from a complete 4000 or built on a skid unit ? if the latter it might have been held in stock for some time after the model was superceeded.

I had never heard of them either, but it looks nice, and being 1977 it will be built on a 4600, basically same as '4000 series', industrial spec with 8-stud wheels. It has a 4600 grille, if that's anything to go by.

Looks from here like it may have a torque-converter transmission - the brake pedals are on the right, but there doesn't appear to be a clutch pedal? Anyone have better eyesight than me? If so it will be a good loader tractor but not so good for field work (it has linkage/pickup hitch/trailer tipping connection).

A 3-cylinder equivalent of the County 11F perhaps?
