I recently came across this beauty:

She is based on a 1962 fordson super major, so it should have orange wheels, but I think I will leave it like this.

on the todo list I have:
- checking the electrics
- putting some lights on the back
- flash beam
- side lights on the front
- lift adjustment
- Dismantling the power steering, as it's leaking badly
- putting on some new engine oil and filters
Hope I get it soon ready to get on the road with it

Rick, I have no idea about the hours. it has now a 6 pot engine and the tacho is'nt connected.

I would like to keep the plough with my other tractor, as I'm afraid the tyres are to big to drive in the furrow.

OK Mathias, You can probably guess how much hard work it has done by the state of wear on the drawbar / TPL linkages and yes those tyres are pretty meaty :)

Came across this post while searching
Jobs done, still have to do:
- electrics have worked, but not fully working at the moment.
-lights on the back fitted
-flash beam done
-side lights on the front, i found out the egg lamps on the fenders have 2 functions, so i used those
- lift working like it should do
- powersteering working and now more leaks so far
- new engine oil and filters done a while back. Also did the dry air filter and put on a dust cap.
- adjusting valves and fitting new valve stem seals. Although i like it blue, a lot of blue smoke is not ok.
- cleaning and new parts in the fuel lift pump
- finally found a drive cable, long enough for the tacho!

New jobs to sort out:
- dual clutch, pto not disgaging
- checking oil in the county drive shafts
- checking brakes, one side isn't working very well.
- fitting new tipping pipe.
- fitting raised pto ( will check seals and bearings first)
- maybe more to follow

Well been busy doing some work on the Super 4.

So found a surprise:
Image
(This is the diff lock side, the axle's are a bit longer and different on the county, since the front wheel drive starts from these. Except for the dirt, all looking well so far. I expected to have some oil in here, since the oil in the bevelhousing was a bit dirty.

:yikes: never thought this would be the problem.

This brake disc doesn't look great either.

So this means I will have to source a new brake actuator, maybe put a new one on the other side (that I already refurbished..)
