Assistor rams for 1963 County Super Six

Post by E1ACharlie »

Hi folks, I'm wondering if any one can help in my search for assistor rams to fit a 1963 Super Six (based on Super Major, not thousand series). I realise my simplist option may be to have new ones made but I cannot get hold of original drawings/dimensions either to achieve this. I have built a full replica heavy duty linkage on my County as I require it for use with a subsoiler, I've also made all brackets for the rams and bought the valve coupling to connect them, but my search for a ram or even enough information to have them remade has drawn a blank. Can any one help??

Well to update everyone I found a tractor fitted with original assistor rams which the owner kindly allowed me to measure. I took these measurments to my local hydraulic and engineering specialist and had a new pair made to the original design and size which thankfully fitted into my brackets superb and i now have fully operational heavy duty linkage with twin assistor rams...... just goes to show, with enough thought and determination anything is possible!

I'd like to see some pictures, too. I'm sure that the ones on my Super 6 aren't original.

Well finally the least techno minded person on here managed to upload some photos of my Heavy Duty lift linkage I have built up on my Super Six. All based on original lift linkage but modified according to measurements taken from an original kit I was kindly allowed to measure. It is as accurate as you can get including the rams which I had to have made having exhausted the UK in my search for any! A Labour of love

Thanks for sharing. Very neet job.
My plan is to use this setup for a system to block my lift from dropping when an implement as my plough is in the lift.
Keeps the street and my plough in good shape. :D
Kind regards, Henk
