any idea on what conversion this is?

Hi, this looks like the lift cover of a Hanomag R22/27/324 tractor. Also parts of the linkage have a Hanomag appearance. I would think the local blacksmith is responsible for this conversion.

Looks like a farm conversion to me, quite a drastic one too as the front casting seems to have been modified shortening the side channels and bonnet. It has the usual non hydraulic top cover with the extras Emiel says are Hannomag, towing doesn't look great. I would say it's a 55-56 Major.

What is the chain driven thing?
A oil pump for the 3p hitch?
Very rare conversion. I think theres only one of it.

It does look like it, presumably the belt pulley would always be on if that's the case.
