Chaps,

If you post your Dexta engine, Serial Numbers, casting codes from Clutch Housing, Gearbox, Rear axle, Hydraulic lift and axle shafts, I will pick them up and compile a table like the Petrol Dexta Register.

I would suggest no names just country and logon name.[/b]

what is my motor and why do the numbers seem to not be found anywhere. The number i obtained from left side near firewall just above sump.
any help greatly appreciated as I am planning on engine work very soon hopefully.

Please do not post queries on here. It is only for a record of tractors.

Numbers like the ones shown are not serial numbers, they are casting numbers and are the same on all tractors. The only numbers cast into castings that mean anything are the C25B that you quote. This dates the component at March 25th 1958 so she is fairly early being three months into full production.

You need the code from the flange behind the starter and as many of the casting codes from the other parts as you can find,

Have been a "hangaround" for a long time, reading the forum and learning a little every day about our old beautys... Live on a small farm in Norway, my Dexta has been mine since 1997, my father bought it in 1966. She is a 59 mod diesel, original with a Horn Draulic loader on. However she was stripped for all that for about 35 years ago.
