County Super-4 backhoe

Post by frode »

Picked it up yesterday. Engine runs good. I bought it of the original owner. He bought it new in 1965. It was a standard agricultural tractor for a few years before he sent it away to get the backhoe mounted. The backhoe and front blade is made in Norway.

That's quite a machine, frode. What are you going to do with it?

That was a good business to be in, a few years ago. Probably not now.
Are you going to restore it or work it? Or both?

I will restore it, but not as a backhoe. All of the cylinders need rebuilding, and the thing is so huge it wouldnt do any good for digging a little around the house. I'll rebuild it as a agricultural tractor. I may have to keep the front blade though :)
