Size of plow for a Dexta
Two furrow (bottom), 10" or 12". there was a reversible single or double furrow built specialy for them by Ransomes, but today you would find them using a Ransomes Robin plough or a Ferguson soil blackener

Depends how deep you want to plough Mark. I knew a farmer who ploughed with a TS82 two furrow reversible designed for a Super Major, behind a Super Dexta and a Ford 3000.
In Tractor and Machinery magazine there is a man with a 5 furrow conventional plough behind a Eord 3000 at a ploughing match.

I only plough about 8 to 10 inches. I put my tractor in 1st on the high side and just idle along ploughing little gardens. My ploughs are made by Ford, and they do a pretty good job.
I helped plough a 20 acre bottom one time and went another gear higher, and it did really well. That's why I'd like to put a three bottom plough on her to see how she'd pull it.

There was a 3 furrow plough for the dexta a TS1013 and ploughs to 8inches deep at 10 or 12 inch furrows so should be ok but you will lose a bit of forward momentem. im going to get a TS59 2 furrow for mine as i have just orderd some duel cat link arms and then i can finally put my ferguson plough into retirement.
