Ford 5000.....Where it all began....

Post by spannerdog »

Thought i would share these two photos.

As some of you know i have pre force 5000. My love for this particular type of tractor started when i was a boy when i visited a farm that owned a pre 5000. In fact the cheeky one sitting on the tractor on the left is me! Both photos were taken at Berrylands Farm, Ilmingcote Warwickshire, circa 1968.

Hello Spannerdog,

I'm afraid something went wrong with your pictures.

Hi Chriss
Yep I second that  I don't do pictures that often and have to go find an old forum post about it for a refresher in how to do it :eyes:
Maybe if we asked nicely :) someone at a top level in the forum could possibly add a piece at the top of each forum board to cover it Like Brian did with oil specs on the new major board. Then it would make life easier for new guys to find out how it's done without getting mad and asking in their new topic all the time, as seems to happen now  :) .
Regards Robert

Thanks for the reply about the tractor still existing, that is really good news. If anyone knows of its location i would be pleased to hear from them.

It is 5 months older than mine proving what tough old tractors the 5000's were.
