County leaflets

Post by Pascal »

Hi guys,

As you might have read, I am quite enthousiastic about County tractors. :beer:
As a real County is too expensive for the (at the moment :wink: may be later?), I collect County leaflets.
I thought some of you might be interested in viewing them?

If one of you has County leaflets and has no interest in them anymore, please son't hestitate to contact me. :mrgreen:

Sometimes the differences are small :eyes: , but all leaflets are different.

Thats a great collecton.
I too have a fasination of County tractors.
I have never driven one, but there is one here on the Island, an 1164.
I did'nt realise that County made an 1162. I thought the only 2 WD tractor was the Hi-drive models.
Never too old to stop learning ah.

Have you seen or got any of the 'County News'.
County's own newspaper. Had articles on County tractors from around the world. I even remember the article about the one and only County on Norfolk Island. (I never dreamt I would end up living here, when I was reading it)
The County news were around the mid to late seventies. You sometimes see them on E-Bay.

@County654
I have posted the leaflet on your own topic.

@Henk @VonZu
Thank you. :mrgreen:

@Kev,
I have read in the FFA's magazine there's even a 1884 ("the beast" 8) ) in New Zealand...
That's where you live, right? :scratchhead:

Great to read you're enthousiast about the "big wheelers" too.
I had the chance to drive three County's last year: 1164, 1184 and 1004 ForwardControl. All three are great tractors!
I have all County News (I think), except for number 11 and 12.
Would you like me to make some pictures and send them to you? No problem.

County made several 2WD-versions: Major HiDrive, Ford HiDrive (Ford 5000X, 5000Y, 6600, 6610 and even 1162), MF165 HiDrive and 952 (2wd-version of the 954).
At least these are the ones I am aware of.
Best regards,
Pascal

It's approx 35 years since I last saw a County News, and of those 3 pictures you just posted, I remembered 2x of them in my head for those 35 years.
I have seen the FFA story about the 1884, which is about an hours drive from where my parents live.
I am a New Zealander, but live on Norfolk Island in the South Pacific ocean.
Have you come accross the Norfolk Island story in the County News at all. If you do, would love to see it.

Hi Kev,

You have a great memory! :mrgreen:
If you ever visit the 1884 near your parets, please make some pictures of it! 8)
May be you can make an offer in it? :eyes:

I haven't found the other story. Perhaps it's in the magazines I am missing?
What type of County is the story about? 1124, 1164 etc.?
Best regards,
Pascal
